Dr. Diane MacDonnell is an integrative practitioner in the true sense of the word. She offers a system of healing to her patients which combines the best of conventional medicine, nutritional therapies, the use of targeted supplements, acupuncture, Chinese medicine and homeopathy. She has particular interest and expertise in integrative cancer medicine. Dr. MacDonnell is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts where she received the John F. Kennedy Award for Academic Excellence and graduated Suma cum laude. She attended Mt. Sinai Medical School in New York City, where she received her Doctor of Medicine degree. She completed an Internship in Internal Medicine at Lincoln Hospital in New York and a Residency in Emergency Medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. MacDonnell trained at the University of California/Berkeley in Medical Acupuncture and is one of only 400 Board Certified Medical Acupuncturists in the U.S. Dr. MacDonnell is Board Certified in Integrative and Holistic Medicine.
Dr. Paul Alagna is a graduate of Binghamton University. He attended the University of California at San Francisco Medical School, where he received his Doctor of Medicine Degree. He completed an Internship at Denver General Hospital and a residency in Emergency Medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Alagna trained at the University of California/Berkeley in Medical Acupuncture and is a Certified Acupuncturist. Dr. Alagna is a Board Certified Emergency Medicine Physician and is certified in Medical Acupuncture. Dr. Alagna has been able to achieve a unique blend of expertise in conventional medicine with a passionate commitment to complementary care. One of many achievements he has offered to the Community was to introduce Medical Acupuncture to Glens Falls Hospital. Dr. Alagna was successful in initiating a program to deliver acupuncture to cancer patients at Glens Falls Hospital at little or no cost.
